Early into my walk with Jesus, I heard people talking about spiritual warfare. I wrote this some time last year and now more than ever, the idea of warfare is becoming so real to me. Praise the Lord I'm on the winning side!

My Shield in my left.
My Sword in my right.
My Strength coming from deep within.
Dove high above,
Showering me with love.
I'm marching from my life of sin.
Drenched in The Lamb's blood.
We're of the same mind.
My fellow soldiers, with me, depart.
Rushing to the fight,
Our backup - The Light.
The time has come to pierce every heart.
Two edges on my Blade.
My Shield cannot break.
Enemies falling one after another.
Our Strength can't run out,
Faith makes our hearts shout.
As our Commander, we would have no other.
He's always with us.
Till vict'ry is won -
Leek in beak, still above, He will soar.
Gripping my Sword tightly,
Not one foe I take lightly.
